URS is intend to launch a Green
Certificate, which can be used by organization and/or entities to reflect their
efforts as a part of corporate social responsibility and environmental
protection. URS will be awarding the green certificate for the
environmental friendly and human friendly action.
What are the Benefits?
The concept of Corporate Social Responsibility
has evolved in the recent times, wherein the organizations and the entities
show their responsibility toward the society, by voluntarily giving back what
has been taken up from the nature for development and growth.
If a certificate is being given for the
recognition of such an efforts, then the image of the company and greenness of
the services is reflected. The benefit of the green certificate would thus be
enhanced/improved market recognition and competitiveness along with reflection
of humanitarian approach towards development.
Features / Aspects
The certificate will aim to look into the
organizations or the entities overall approach to ensure betterment of
surrounding and safety of the individuals.
The audits shall look into the following major
parameters, at minimum:

Process/Activities

Human Safety

The organization or the entity desiring a green
certificate shall be looking at these aspects, at minimum:

Reduction of anthropogenic GHG emissions,
-
Implementation and maintenance of occupational
health and safety measures.
Protection of environment and surroundings etc.
On the basis of the appropriateness and fulfillments
of the various aspects and parameters, URS will be issuing the certificate of
greenness to the entity.
