American National Accreditation Board
 ANAB is a US accreditation body for management systems. ANAB ensures that the Certification Bodies (CBs) accredited by it are competent and comply with the international requirements for CBs. Like its counterparts in other countries, ANAB oversees the competency of CBs through a rigorous system of evaluation and accreditation. ANAB accredits certification bodies for ISO9001 quality management systems (QMS) and ISO14001 environmental management systems (EMS) as well as a number of industry specific requirements.
ANAB is an independently governed and operated legal entity. It is financially self-supported and has a board of directors that represents its stakeholders.
ANAB is a member of International Accreditation Forum and a signatory of IAF multilateral cooperative arrangements (MLAs) for QMS/EMS. Certifications through ANAB builds confidence and reduces risk for customers and facilitates trade globally. ANAB has potential to reduce risk by enhancing acceptance of certificates worldwide.
