GWO (Global Wind Organization) is a non-profit organisation established by globally leading wind turbine manufacturers and owners. GWO has launched a range Health & Safety training standards which align the requirements of employers for workers carrying out various roles in the wind turbine industry focusing an injury free work environment. URS in India is GWO approved certification body to conduct QMS audit as per GWO standard at new and existing GWO approved Health & Safety training providers.
GWO training standards set the requirements for training courses related to health and safety of wprkers working in wind turbine industries, that are recommended by members of GWO. Following GWO standards and criteria, certified training providers are considered competent and proficient.
Training providers seeking certification to offer GWO training shall be audited in accordiance with the requirement of GWO standard for training providers basically covering following four sections of the quality management system - Supporting processes, Equipment and physical resources, Instructor qualifications, Training and assessment.
