Consumer electronics such as batteries, lighting, IT/AV, wiring and household appliances need to comply with regulatory and compliance requirements of India which are BIS – CRS (compulsory registration scheme) and BIS-ISI marking scheme before being sold into Indian market. These schemes imply in a way where manufacturers need to get their products tested by BIS-approved labs before they launch into Indian market. Scheme is mandatory for both Indian and foreign manufacturers who intend to sell their products in India.
URS Lab is recognized by BIS for both the schemes to perform testing as per various Indian standards, covering all the electronics related products mandatory in both the schemes. URS scope includes testing of lighting, batteries, IT/AV, household appliances and wiring accessories
